Chatogo Recommendations/Ideas

Question

There have obviously been quite a few posts made where people try and share their ideas, but I'd like for anyone who sees this to comment all and any ideas they have for Chatogo, whether they be big or small, useless or important, I don't care, I just want to see what ideas our users have for Chatogo!

1) I think the muting system needs to improve. Sometimes mods forget who they muted and the person stays muted for hours. And sometimes if a person gets a system mute in other room except general chat, the mods can't notice them that often.

So here's my idea. Automate the mute system please. When a staff mutes someone, he/she should add a time and after that time the person will automatically be unmuted. And if someone gets a system mute he/she should be autimatically unmuted after 5-10 minutes.  

Also the persons who gets muted should be able to see the timer. so that they know when they are gonna get unmuted. cuz sometimes they waste hours being muted and hoping someone to unmuted them. I've been in that situation a few times.

2) the users, home and friends button were better at the bottom  :(

3) sometimes when you post something on the friends wall, u don't want 1 or 2 particular persons from ur friend list to see that post. It would be better if there was an option to control who can see our posts.

4) there don't need to be so many rooms >.>

1. The muting system already runs on a timer, we can click 'Action' then 'Mute/kick' and we can set a specific time for them to remain muted. And I personally don't unmute people after a system mute.

2. I agree they should be able to see the timer when they're muted, so good idea on that one.

3. I told the owner the same thing but he's gonna keep them where they are.

4. Hmm, maybe like a "best friends" option? Or just something to control who seez your posts, that's not a bad idea.

5. I've seen worse.

Also it would be great if there was an option to see if the other person has seen ur pms or not.

It'd be nice too if we could see the persons' profiles by clicking their names or pfps from the friend request list.

I don't have very many, but here are some I'd like to see.

1. More Fonts / Font Colors: This one is quite a demand, I noticed, and I agree it would be an excellent addition to the site, allowing users to use more colors and express themselves differently.

2. Room Staff Would Recieve Their Ranks Displayed On Their Profiles: I have noticed, with the room staff, most people often don't respect them as they cannot visibly see their rank on their profile. I think this might help clear up that issue, as well as open the room staff to help with issues, as people will see this and report things to them as well.

That's all I have for recommendations, for now, I understand sometimes things aren't added to the site, and that's alright.

Yes, new fonts colors would be extremely nice for VIP users and staff members and the Room Staff icons and staff positions would be great to have since yeah many users don't respect room staff.

I personally think that the mutes are way unfair. I got muted for 1 day because i accidentally put a period right next to something. then i went to my other account to tell them that it was an accident and i got muted for 2 DAYS for "bypassing". I think that mutes should be reviewed by multiple people before they are just thrown out everywhere.

People get muted for no absolute reason. I have been muted too. I tried to share a link and it though I was spamming. I was about 15 characters long, and I think that makes no sense. I think they should create a link sharer. I just joined yesterday, and things have already turned upside down. My friends are worried something happened. I personally think that was pretty unacceptable. I hope you listen to my reply. Thank you for reading. Goodnight.

Dear Chatogo,

I was just posting some pictures I only posted on picture then I got muted. It said one day but it’s been much more than one day. I don’t think that people need to be muted. Also let people who are not admin mute. Thanks!

old chatogo member here i got banned on there for being "underage" even tho i'm not i'm 13

tbh i think when it comes to ideas that they should give mods traning or make em' do there job right and not ban any1 for no reason i'm on Allotalk now tho and its so much better than chatogo i'm so happy there
