Guests & Their Cons

Question

Maybe having guests isnt such a good idea because they seem to cause problems, if someone really wants to come on cant they make an account for free? And banning and kicking a guest does nothing because they come back in the next minute. Why do we even have guests?

Those who are new to Chatogo may use a guest account to get a taste for how the chat is like, some people would like to try a website before they sign up, allowing guest users gives the potential for new user's to register but there are some unsavoury guest users who are up to no good, they are usually dealt with accordingly. It would be unfair to make the chat registered user's only because of the unsavoury guest users.

I definitely agree with you on that observation about guests being an issue. While guests can be a problem sometimes, I do think its important to allow them. Personally, I was a guest on this chat site for about 2 weeks before I finally registered an account. I wanted to see what it was all about before I bothered. The fact that we have a feature that can ignore guests and make our pm's user only should take care of most of the problems.

I agree, that way both guests can be using the site without either one disturbing each other since sometimes the users are the ones to disturb the guests when they've done nothing and assume that all guests are the same and accuse them of nonsense, plus sometimes it's the users who cause problems themselves instead of the guests

Well, the way i see it, it is to attract new comer to this site. A guest account is being used for new comer to enter and experience the chat site, and if they are like it, they can register to be a part of the regular member on here. But yeah some people just misused it a lot, even the registered user, sometime use it as well. I've sent this issue to the Owner about this. Hope there are some room control to allow specific user on the room. But IMHO, the general chat should allow a guest to enter it, since its the main display of the chat site. Other room we can specified the user that able to enter there. Well, that's all for now.

Some Times I Feel That Way Here To Why We Have Guests I Agree With This It's Free To Make A Account But I Guess The Guests Needs To See What The Site Is All About Before They Make A Account Here If They Like It Or Not To  Join The Site And If They Like It Them They Should Make The Account And Get Off The Guests Name :)

As many others have stated, having guests is not exactly all bad. Although some guests cause problems, having the ability to be a guest can have many good things about it. It allows people who are new to the chat to watch and decide if they want to join without a pressure to register, and it also allows people to talk freely as they wish and when they wish with not too much worry regarding inactivity.
